"Consideraciones economicas y comerciales en la narrativa hispana: Un enfoque interdisciplinario" is a collection of ten essays, from different authors, on economic and commercial issues as portrayed in Hispanic narrative (fiction, essays, music, and film). The book starts with a general overview of the literary representation of business people; middle chapters explore business lessons derived from literature and working conditions for Hispanic workers in the U.S. The final chapters focus on country-specific authors and issues.

Carlos M. Coria-Sanchez is assistant professor of Spanish at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. German Torres is assistant professor of Spanish at Georgia State University. Their previous book, Visiones: Perspectivas literarias de la realidad social hispana, was published by Yale University Press in 2002.
