Yale London launches its Spring & Summer 2012 Seasonal Catalogue

Yale’s Spring & Summer catalogue is now available to order and download. There are plenty of fascinating, beautiful, quirky and intelligent books to look forward to. You’ll have to read the catalogue to find out more, but highlights include a new book from the indomitable philosopher Terry Eagleton (p1), a sumptuous look at the London Square from architectural writer Todd Longstaffe-Gowan (p2), a biography of artist and hellraiser August Strindberg (p3) and a fun, accessible visitor’s guide to the ancient Olympics (p7).

Yale to publish new illustrated edition of E.H. Gombrich's 'A Little History of the World'

E. H. Gombrich’s A Little History of the World has become a cult classic since it was published in English for the first time by Yale in 2005. The book went on to sell over half a million copies and has become one of the treasures of historical writing. Next month Yale will publish a luxury illustrated edition, aiming to further enrich Gombrich’s enchanting and distinctive narrative.

Yale to publish revised and updated edition of Tarek Osman's acclaimed 'Egypt on the Brink'

Back in November 2010 Yale published the aptly-titled Egypt on the Brink by Tarek Osman, a lively account of Egypt, its recent history and the increasingly febrile political situation. Within months, the Egyptian people had risen in protest against the regime and President Mubarak was forced to resign. Now he stands trial. In a fully-revised and updated edition of Egypt on the Brink, Osman continues the extraordinary story of the February 2011 protests, and discusses their implications for Egypt and the rest of the world.
